Within Goreme

From the bus station, walk towards the main village mosque.  At the Dibek restaurant (which is just after the antique and coffee shops),  follow the signs towards the Kelebek hotel up the hill. 


From Istanbul

There are a number of options to get to Goreme.

1) Overnight Bus

2) Fly with Turkish Airlines, Onur Air or Pegasus to either Kayseri or Nevsehir airports. Both are about 45 minutes by road.

Private airport transfers can be arranged through Heritage travel in Goreme.  If arriving at Kayseri you can pre-book the Turkish airlines shuttle for selected flights or take a bus or a taxi to the Otogar (Bus station) and then take a comfortable local bus to Goreme.

From other Cities in Turkey

There are frequent buses to Goreme from many Cities in Turkey.

From outside Turkey

We would reccomend flying via Istanbul and spending a few days taking in the sites of this historic city before heading to Goreme by either bus or plane.

Many budget airlines now fly to Istanbul such as Easy Jet, Pegasus and Komfly as well as the traditional carriers.

There is an Onur air charter flight from Amsterdam direct to Kayseri bookable through Komfly. In the Summer there is also a Turkish airlines flight on this route.

There are many holiday charter flights into the Turkish coastal resorts throughout the summer.  You can then take a bus to Cappadocia.
